Niva Market Watch publishes information about Indian IPOs. It helps to know which kind of information you are looking at, because they carry different levels of reliability.

1. Factual issue data

Price bands, lot sizes, issue sizes, dates, exchanges, registrars and subscription multiples are factual data taken from the sources listed on each page and in our methodology. Automated checks catch some inconsistencies, but figures can be delayed or contain errors introduced upstream or by us. Subscription figures are compiled by a third party (InvestorGain), not taken directly from the exchanges. The company's offer document and exchange notices are the authoritative record.

2. Unofficial grey market premium (GMP)

GMP is not official data. It is a quote from an informal, unregulated market that operates outside the exchanges, and it is not published or verified by NSE, BSE or SEBI. We show it because many investors follow it, always with the date it was recorded. It changes quickly, differs between dealers and has often been a poor guide to the actual listing price. 3. Editorial and educational content

Guides and articles explain how IPOs and related processes work. They reflect our understanding of rules at the time of writing and are dated. Regulations change; where a guide differs from a current SEBI circular or an offer document, the official source prevails.

4. What we do not provide: investment advice

Nothing on this site is a recommendation to apply for, buy, hold or sell any security. We do not rate issues or predict listing prices.
